An AI agent can look things up in your tenant and, when the token allows it, create or change data. You connect it with an access token. Subscription, users, and the Jupiter AI assistant chat stay in the panel.
Prerequisites
- The account includes the API access feature (Trial or Enterprise plan).
- A separate access token for the agent with the permissions it needs.
Set up the connection
- In the user menu, open Settings → API & MCP and create a token for the agent. The steps are under Manage API and MCP access.
- Copy the token immediately. It is not shown again.
- Enter the endpoint
POST https://api.jupiter-erp.com/api/mcpin the agent. A copied token sendsAuthorization: Bearerand the account UUID asX-Account-Uuid. A token from consent already carries the account. Then the header may be omitted. - The agent then loads the functions this token may use on this tenant.
The technical description is in the MCP reference.
What the agent can do
It reads contacts, documents, tasks, projects, and reports, as far as the token and the booked module allow. The read functions match the Jupiter AI assistant in the panel.
Through the same connection it can call the Account API: create, change, send, and finalize. A new invoice stays a draft. Finalizing and sending run only with the matching permission. Uploading a receipt does not start recognition on its own.
Amounts in the responses are cents.
What stays closed
Subscription, users, webhooks, and the Jupiter AI assistant chat are not reachable through this connection. A session token from signing in to the panel is rejected.
Each token allows 100 successful creates per day. Each minute allows 300 calls per token and 600 per account. The counters are separate from the Account API.
Revoke access
Delete the token in the user menu under Settings → API & MCP. Access through the Account API and through MCP stops at once.
Common questions
Can the agent see data from other tenants?
No. A copied token selects the tenant through the account UUID in the header. A token from consent stays on the tenant chosen there.
Does the agent post entries on its own?
No. It works with the data the token allows. Reviewing and posting stay with you. The Jupiter AI assistant in the panel is a separate chat.
